5. Main content (Not applicable for release of contract) In August of 2012, Amita and Beijing General Research Institute For Nonferrous Metal signed a letter of intent for the strategic cooperation on lithium-ion batteries, of which the first phase of the cooperation was started in January 2013.

The two sides signed a joint development agreement on lithium-ion batteries, conducting a yearlong verification process of material and capability testing.

After that, Amita participated in Beijing General Research Institute For Nonferrous Metal’s procurement case for the whole plant purchase of a lithium polymer battery cell automatic production line.

After successful negotiation, Beijing General Research Institute For Nonferrous Metal signed the contract with Amita for the procurement. Contract Amount: RMB one hundred and fifty-eight million five hundred and ninety-three thousand dollars

7. The financial and business effect on the company (not applicable for release of contract): In the short term, for the years 2014 and 2015, the average annual revenue of the company will increase by 400 million, and is forecasted that the company’s expected earnings will increase.

For the medium and long term, due to entering the supply chain of the Chinese electric vehicle industry, expanding business opportunities in China’s trillion dollar battery plant market, it is forecasted to greatly help Amita’s business and financial growth.

8. Specific purpose (Not applicable for release of contract) Beijing General Research Institute For Nonferrous Metal is the foremost research and development authority of high power lithium-ion batteries in the People’s Republic of China.

The battery on an electric vehicle is the key to the development of new energy vehicles, and the world’s major car producing countries all place a high emphasis on high powered lithium batteries. China’s electric vehicle battery industry is in the rapidly developing stage, and is in dire need of lithium battery material and lithium battery related technology, equipment technology, battery system cooperation and development.

To promote the development and progress of the Chinese lithium polymer battery industry, manufacturing technology and application integration technology, as well as strengthening China’s automobile companies’ competitive edge in the area of new energy vehicles, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, SASAC, and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers have banded together to advocate this goal. Led by the Beijing General Research Institute For Nonferrous Metal, seven vehicle manufacturers, which includes FAW Group, Dongfeng Motor, SAIC, Chang’an Motors, BAIC Group, GAC Group, and Huachen Auto Group, along with Lishen Battery Joint Stock Company, are planning on jointly setting up an Electric Vehicle Battery Research Institute. Amita will provide the research institute the lithium polymer battery cell whole plant automatic production line, as well as related authorized manufacturing technology.

We expect that in the newly established Electric Vehicle Battery Research Institute’s market of operation, Amita will be able to cooperate with Beijing General Research Institute For Nonferrous Metal and enter the market of China’s electric vehicle battery manufacturing plants, and enhance the complementary strength of Taiwan’s and China’s green energy industry.
